Oakland Black Officers Association

You have reached the official web site for the Oakland Black Officers Association. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to the betterment of our members, the Oakland community and others on the Oakland Police Department.

Since it’s inception in 1978, this organization has made great strides in making those improvements and in doing so, has uplifted the department and the community it serves. While we have made some changes, there is still a lot to be done so that we can continue to make this department and community one we can be proud of.

Our current membership is 174 strong.  The number of sworn officers is 126 and the civilian members make up the rest. Our office is located at 9120 International Blvd. In East Oakland
